Trehellas is a family-owned country house with real warmth and character, close to all that the county has to offer. Today, the building still retains many of its beautiful original features, including the ground floor’s Delabole slate floors and the external mounting block. The original courtroom, dating back to the 1700s, is now a spectacular bedroom (much-loved by honeymooners). The beamed, romantic, candlelit restaurant, with its Delabole slate flagstone floor, offers the very best of locally sourced meats, fish, fruit, vegetables and delicious Cornish cheeses. The hotel is very proud that the standard of its classical cooking was recognised with an AA rosette in 2008. The restaurant was also Michelin recommended in 2008.
